Health Safety and Environmental Training
Health Safety & Environmental training is specifically required by many regulations. Suitable and sufficient training should be provided to all employees, at all levels within an organisation.
Suitable training can significantly reduce the incidence of injuries, ill health, lost time and pollution. It can directly and indirecty lead to reduced costs increased profitability.
Training Programmes
These start at short general awareness briefings through to nationally accredited block and part time release courses. We hold accreditation for NEBOSH, IOSH, IEMA and IOA courses. We have consistently achieved pass rates well above national averages. Click here to view all our courses.
All EEF Sheffield courses are available as “Open” or “In Company” as detailed below:
Open Training
Including NEBOSH, IOSH, IEMA and IOA, these courses are “open” to delegates from organisations or members of the public. Advantages include:
- Delegates meet other persons from different organisations and backgrounds. Experiences and issues can be shared, complementing the learning process.
- Often the same course is required for many members of a workforce. To prevent disruption organisations send a few delegates each time the course is scheduled.
- Open courses are usually held at our Broomgrove training complex. As a result delegates are away from the daily distractions at their place of work, enabling greater concentration. Click on link to see our excellent Broomgrove facilities.
“In Company” Training
These courses are limited to delegates from a single organisation. Advantages include:
- EEF Sheffield can design and tailor the course to meet the specific requirements of the organisation. The organisation`s own documents, case studies and philosophies can be incorporated.
- All members of a team / organisation can be trained together.
- These courses are usually held on or near the client’s premises. Often the course can therefore be enhanced by practical exercises, for example, the completion of an inspection or risk assessment at the site.
Operator Training
All persons are required to have adequate training so that they can complete their specific work in a safe way and without risk to health.
EEF Sheffield provides a comprehensive range of practical operator training, including:
- Manual Handling
- Fork Lift Truck Driver Training
- Abrasive Wheels
