This assessed course has been developed to meet the needs of managers and supervisors responsible for environmental planning in their organisation. Managing the Environment is also suitable for Quality Managers who may be considering the integration of management systems.
Candidates on this programme will learn the principles and practice of effective environmental management and how these can be integrated into everyday operations, in particular how to:
- Understand the relevance of environmental issues
- Achieve savings and win business by managing environmental aspects
- Comply with legal responsibilities
- Introduce an environmental management system (notably ISO 14001)
- Reduce the risk of environmental incidents
