This course is aimed at training persons to act as "in house" instructors for Abrasive Wheels.
Upon completion of this course delegates should be able to instruct operators on their duties and responsibilities in relation to the use and mounting of Abrasive Wheels, instruct operators in safe working practices and methods of using Abrasive Wheels and develop effective training programmes for the use of Abrasive Wheels
Aimed at: Supervisors and personnel involved in changing abrasive wheels
Topics include:
- Legal requirements
- Hazards arising from the use of abrasive wheels
- Methods of marking, storing, handling and transporting
- Functions of components
- Methods of inspection, mounting, testing, dressing, balancing and adjustment of abrasive wheels
- Personal protection
- Practical experiance of changing abrasive wheels
