This scheme provides a Health & Safety adviser support to member organisations. Our Health & Safety Adviser will liaise closely with a member of your management team to review Health & Safety management systems and promote compliance with statutory requirements and best practice.
Features of the Service
- An in-depth annual H&S Health-check with follow-up report and action plan.
- The option to purchase an agreed number of scheduled visits to ensure standards are maintained or to assist the organisation with specific tasks such as conducting Risk Assessments and monitoring for noise and vibration.
- Advice, information and help on any matter related to health, safety and welfare.
- Individual guidance on the setting up of company safety organisations, policies and systems.
- Identification of training needs and arranging both in plant and off the job training.
- Additional visits in emergency situations.
- Incident investigation and follow-up, with comprehensive advice on any remedial action required.
- Assistance in monitoring the activities of contractors and sub-contractors.
- Liaison with the Health & Safety Executive, Local Authorities, Fire Authority and other relevant organisations – including assistance in dealing with Improvement and Prohibition Notices.
- Development of continuing programmes to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
- ½ day health and safety update seminar (2 places).
- Health, Safety & Environment Forum.
